XM280TLR: Quartz (variety jacinto de compostela)
Floater 'Pineapple' formed of Quartz crystals (jacinto de compostela variety) showing rhombohedral terminations without any prism development, and with a very uniform and deep color. It comes from Chella, in Valencia, where Triassic sediments emerge, specifically the Keuper Formation, in which these specimens are found together with the well-known aragonites. This specimen belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the eighties and nineties of the last century, assembled an excellent collection.

Two Quartz crystals (Jacinto de Compostela variety) translucent, with bright luster and an intense red-orange color due to inclusions, on a massive gypsum matrix. A Spanish classic.
